Artificial Intelligence Usage Policy
1. Legal Framework
This policy is governed by Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 June 2024 laying down harmonised rules on artificial intelligence (hereinafter the "AI Act"), applicable to AI systems placed on the market or put into service in the European Union.
2. Artificial Intelligence Usage Declaration
ARANOVA declares, with respect to the FeedDuck platform:
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Has the application been developed with the assistance of artificial intelligence? | Yes |
| Does the application use artificial intelligence systems in the operation of the service? | No |
3. Scope of Artificial Intelligence Use
- AI in development: the platform has been developed with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools. This circumstance does not, by itself, constitute putting into service an "AI system" within the meaning of Article 3(1) of the AI Act and therefore gives rise to no specific obligations under that Regulation.
- AI in operation: the platform does not incorporate high-risk AI systems (Annex III of the AI Act), does not generate synthetic content or operate as a chatbot or conversational assistant, and does not take automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on individuals (Article 22 GDPR).
- Minimal-risk machine-learning techniques: where the service uses machine-learning techniques (for example, text embeddings for search and indexing) or automation of internal tasks, they are limited to auxiliary functions that do not generate content, do not interact directly with the user and produce no legal or significant effects on individuals. These techniques are not subject to the transparency obligations of Article 50 of the AI Act or to the high-risk obligations, without prejudice to the AI literacy duty (Article 4 of the AI Act).
